Description

From the photographer: “After three nights waiting at the place, the night sky cleared up. The panoramic image shows the Skaftafelljokull and Hvannadalshnjúkur, 2111 meters above sea level in southeast Iceland. The high altitude cirrus clouds made Akira Fujii effect to the stars, and it’s easy to recognize the constellations, as Ursa Major and Orion. Jupiter is just vertically above the highest mountain in Iceland. A virtual tour is available here. © Stephane Vetter
