Inspired by Quebec's night sky, Wally Pacholka began photographing celestial events. His National Park nightscapes became his trademark, earning him four TIME & LIFE "Picture of the Year" awards, including Comet Hale-Bopp (1997), Mars' close approach (2003), and Comet Neowise (2020). His work has appeared in National Geographic and NASA's APOD.
