Winter Hexagon and Wolf Moon
Description
In a full moon night of Hungary bright stars of the Winter Hexagon shine above the frozen surface of Lake Balaton. Move the slider on the image to see the guide lines and labels for the Winter Hexagon. The image also shows the Wolf Moon; a full moon that occurs in January. Its name comes from hungry wolf packs that would howl outside the villages of Native Americans in this season. © Tamas Ladanyi
