Stars over Tucson
Description
Evening twilight fades to darkness and planet Jupiter in the constellation Taurus, the Bull, appears over the Kitt Peak Observatory and lights of Tucson, some 70 km away. The McMath–Pierce solar telescope appears in the foreground. in the background sky two prominent star clusters in Taurus are visible: the Pleiades or the Seven Sisters (top) and the V-like Hyades that forms the Bull’s face (to the right of Jupiter). Beautiful, Babak. Tucson has some light pollution ordnances in effect. Every little bit helps. Jupiter radiates wonderful diffusion spikes.

In the comment I sent a few minutes ago (Wed 01 January 2014, 17:35 GMT, I was using distances as the car drives, not how the crow flies. On rechecking the distances using Google Earth, I must admit that your line of sight distances are more accurate.
Nevertheless TWAN does a great job of capturing the dark night sky especially for the billions of city dwellers who have no idea what the dark night sky looks like.
