Southern Star Trails

Star trails swirl around the the Southern Celestial Pole above the church of Good Shepherd. Lake Tekapo and McKenzie Country was designated as an International Dark Sky Reserve as part of a UNESCO-supported initiative to preserve the quality of the night sky and its cultural, scientific, or natural values.
