Description

A meteor streaks the sky in the Ursa Major during the annual Quadrantid meteor shower. The starry sky is captured above the historic Caravansary of Qusheh near the city of Damghan, Iran. This desert caravansary was built on the Silk Road, right outside the wall of an ancient city known as Qumis (or Hecatompylos as recorded by Greek historians) which is now buried under the desert.
