Milky Way and Sahara Dust

The brilliant planet Jupiter and the Milky Way shine above the Carlos Sanchez 1.5 meter infrared telescope in Teide Observatory of Canary Islands. As noted by the photographer “The yellowish cast of the sky near the horizon is due to Sahara desert dust and the lights of Tenerife island villages.
