Massive Skyglow on Carinthia
Description
From the photographer: “Skyglow – not to mix up with northern lights – is a phenomenon from strong solar UV radiation: Nitrogen and Oxygen get dissociated in the higher atmosphere. During the night, recombination leads to that green glow, which is fading over the course of the night. The green is not visible to the naked eye, however extremely strong for a camera sensor.”
