Lunar Corona in the Clouds

From the photographer: “A blanket of clouds, soft as cotton balls, glides across the night sky of Plemmirio. Small gaps in the clouds allow the light of the moon to filter through, breaking up into a striking ring of colours: a lunar crown.

Despite the darkness, the landscape remains illuminated by the moonlight, revealing the roar of the rough sea crashing against the cliff on which the lighthouse of Capo Murro di Porco stands. A meeting of sky and earth, of light and shadow, that offers a spectacle of rare beauty.”
