Lava, Ice, Aurora ᐉ

An erupting volcano, icy waterfalls, and the magnificent northern lights. The heat of lava and the cold of glaciers. The diversity of Iceland is striking. Earth has about 20 volcanoes actively erupting on land, any particular day. This one in Fagradalsfjall, southwestern Iceland, is forming a shield volcano, filmed in Sep 2021 with my aurora phototour group, on a hike to a viewing point a kilometer away from the crater. the other scenes are from 2015-2021.
