Joshua Tree Silhouette

From the photographer: “During one of my Night Sky Photography workshops at Southern California ’s Joshua Tree National Park on October 20, 2012, I slipped away from the students to try a shot or two of my own. By placing the nearly first quarter moon behind a Joshua Tree, it produced a nice silhouette effect with the Milky Way in the background.”
