Description

The band of Summer Milky Way and the three bright stars of the Summer Triangle shine above a natural arch in Gotland, the largest island in the Baltic Sea. Gotland which was under water for 400 million years is made up of a sequence of sedimentary rocks. The limestone rocks with fascinating shapes on the island today are locally called Raukar and many of them are in fact very old coral reefs.
