Desert Solstice

During the Northern Hemisphere’s first day of winter -the winter solstice- the sun travels its lowest path across the daytime sky. This composite panoramic image over Southern California’s Anza-Borrego Desert shows the sun at one hour intervals from its rising through high noon and sunset.
