Description

In a long exposure image, northern stars move across the sky over the span of one hour, creating colorful star trails due to the Earth rotation, centered by the north star Polaris which is almost aligned with the Earth rotation axis. On this crystal clear night in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, California, at elevation of 10,000 ft (3300m) this iconic 3600 years old pine was reaching for the stars. These die-hard trees of high altitudes, are one of the longest living life forms on the planet. I have immense respect for ancient trees. Each keeps thousands of Earth history.
