Aurora During a Total Lunar Eclipse
Description
On the night of winter solstice in the northern hemisphere (Dec. 20/21) a total lunar eclipse is in process over snow-covered landscape of Yellowknife in the northern Canada. During the total eclipse the eclipsed moon is faint enough that allows aurora to be clearly visible. As noted by the photographer “Auroras were dancing in the northern sky throughout the eclipse. What a night!”
