Ancient Star Trails

In this time exposure image made by a one-hour photo sequence, which could also be seen on National Geographic News, the motion of the sky is captured over the Szazhalombatta Archaeological Park in Hungary. Here the prehistory is brought to life as visitors can experience the village life, landscapes, and burial grounds of Iron Age. A rebuilt Bronze Age house of the village is pictured here under trailing stars. On the left an Iron Age burial ground is visible which is the main landmark of the site.
