Where Rivers Curve and Stars Fade
Description
From the photographer: “The winter constellations are about to set over an enchanting Sicilian landscape. The Salso river creeps through the valley, covered in lush spring vegetation, illuminated by the light of the moon. Accompanying it is Jupiter and, a little higher up, Mars, shining in the constellation Gemini. This, together with Auriga, Cassiopeia and Perseus, is about to hide behind the rock pinnacles around which the riverbed seems to twist, describing a perfect ‘S’. The whole gives us a feeling of peace and reveals a lush and little-known face of our beautiful island.”
