Description

Stars of the northern hemisphere winter nights appear above Alborz Mountain range. Constellations Orion and Canis Major (Great Dog) are in the middle with Sirius the brightest star of Canis Major and the brightest in the Earth night sky. Procyon in Canis Minor is another bright star of the view in the upper left. The mountain is illuminated by light of Ira, a village in the Haraz Valley in northern Iran.
