Winter Night Sky Constellations
Description
From the photographer: “The new astronomical year has arrived, and being in my hometown was a great chance to visit places I love (like this beach). After a long time without capturing any night sky imagery, I thought that would be great if I plan something while I was away from the heavily light polluted city of Athens.
This time of year, we can see all the winter sky constellations, so I decided to capture an image to include all of the constellations of the “winter circle”. Although the light cloud coverage made the whole process a bit difficult while stitching this vertical pano, the result was just magnificent. The soft glow added by the clouds was ideal in order to make the brightest stars and planets pop (probably overdone it on Jupiter).”
