Where the Shadow Touches the Ground

The total solar eclipse as photographed from the northern tip of Queensland, Australia. The cone shaped shadow of the Moon is visible over the eclipse chasers in this wide-angle image. The solar corona appears as a beautiful halo around the edge of the dark Moon.
