Watching the Eclipse
Description
From the photographer: “A view of the total Solar eclipse of 12th August 2026, with the observers and cameras in action. In this still from a video, the sky on the left is dark, while it is much brighter on the right. Shadow of the Moon is moving from northwest to southeast, hence the total eclipse of 1 minute 46 seconds is about to end.
Second picture shows a close-up of the eclipse taken by one of the cameras visible in the first picture. Solar corona shining in a yellow colour instead of the usual white. This was because of the heat haze and a low layer of clouds dimming the corona, much like a reddish sunset in summer.”
