Description

In this multi-hour timelapse sequence, the rotating Earth formed star trails in the image as they rise above Paro Taktsang, also known as the Tiger’s Nest, located in the Cliffside of upper valley in Bhutan. The temple complex was first built in 1692, around a cave where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours in the 8th century. According to a legend he flew to here from Tibet on the back of a tigress. This Himalayan Buddhist sacred site rises about 900 meters above the valley.
