From the photographer: “Comet ATLAS beside the dome of the 6.5-m Magellan Telescope at Carnegie’s Las Campanas Observatory in the Atacama Desert, Chile. I captured this image on January, 22 during late twilight and I used Planit! for Photographers to plan the composition. A remarkable farewell to astronomers!
