Description

From the photographer: “In the dawn of October 11, 2023 there was a beautiful Moon/Venus encounter over the eastern horizon. In these morning hours, the attentive nature lover could observe how the waning crescent of the moon passed Venus. The whole spectacle took place in the constellation of Leo near its main star Regulus. Regulus, however, is not particularly conspicuous. This picture shows the heavenly couple on an impressively clear morning over two old pear trees on the Saargau in Rhineland-Palatinate.”
