Description

From the photographer: “Every year, the full moon in the summer months of June and July describes a flat diurnal arc above the horizon. Two days before the July full moon on July 10, 2025, it reached its greatest southern latitude in Scorpius near Antares, and one day later in the constellation of the Serpent Bearer at -28.4 degrees its southernmost declination. Finally, in the constellation Sagittarius, the full moon rose at 54°18.5′ north and 13°5′ east 40 minutes after sunset. Seen from the shore of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund, the moon “rolled” over the new Rügen Bridge, which connects the mainland with the largest German island of Rügen.”
