Description

From the photographer: “There are many relics of the Great Wall in Huairou District, Beijing, China. The Great Wall ruins located in Lianhuachi Village are very distinctive, as they have not been repaired, thus maintaining their original flavor. At the peak of the Lianhuachi Great Wall, there is a well preserved enemy platform, which people call nap tower, meaning that when climbing to the top of the mountain, one can rest here. On the east side of the “nap tower“, across the mountain ditch, there is another well preserved enemy platform, like two guards standing on the mountaintop. No one has ever filmed the starry sky of the Great Wall here, and my long planned composition has finally come true. One early morning in April, I went up the mountain in the dark to find a suitable shooting location and captured the Milky Way Arch Bridge over the Lianhuachi Great Wall.”
