Description

Finally here we are! The long run-up of Jupiter and Saturn peaked this evening. The two celestial giants met and were only a few tenths of a degree apart from our perspective. I filmed them looking out from the suggestive Fornace Penna (Scicli, RG), one of the most representative monuments in Sicily both for its history and for the numerous episodes of Commissioner Montalbano that have made it a protagonist in recent years.
This moment, imprinted in my mind and heart will be impossible to erase. Only our ancestors, in 1623, could have admired such a singular sight. Being able to live it today makes me feel privileged and grateful to our heaven because it offers us unique moments like this.

Shooting data: Composite of two photos with Nikon D800 + Tamron 100-400 f4.5-6.3, @ 100mm 1 shot for the furnace f /4.5, ISO 1000, 20 sec. 1 shot for the sky f /4.5, ISO 3200, 3 sec.
