The Deer Moon

From the photographer: “Just two hours before moonrise, I decided to search for a new point of interest I hadn’t yet photographed with the Moon. I quickly remembered this watchtower in the municipality of Pombal and thought it might offer a fresh composition. With little time to spare, I planned the shot on the spot. About 1 km away from the tower, I waited patiently, for nearly 20 minutes after moonrise, until the Moon aligned with what I considered the best position of the session. This was the result of a spontaneous plan, guided by intuition and a bit of luck.”
