The Blue Lagoon Under the Darkest Skies

From the photographer: “One of the nights of the photo tour we went on an eerie 40-minute trek in the dark on a rugged salty pathway to photograph one of several lagoons. We were supposed to do this hike during the daytime as well but couldn’t because the wind was way too strong. During the day the lagoons look bright blue with the sun shining high in the sky. To demonstrate the blueness that we missed out on during the day, Yuri Beletsky (Another TWAN member) shone his flashlight across the still water during one of our long exposures. This made for a surreal effect. I also took an image without the light painting that I will share at a later date.”
