Description

From the photographer: “Stars circle around the celestial pole above Mount Teide, the highest mountain in the Canary Islands at 3,715 meters. In the foreground, the Roques de Garcia tower above. The most famous of these bizarrely shaped towers of volcanic rock is the Roque Cinchado, also known as the Stone Tree or Finger of God, which is considered the island’s landmark. Towards the end of the session, the rising moon illuminated the landscape of the Las Cañadas del Teide caldera.”
