Description

Winter stars, from Orion to Gemini and Canis Minor (with Mars at the lower left), rise above the rebuilt walls of the ancient city of Hattusa, a World Heritage Site near Bogazkale, Turkey. The earliest traces of settlement on the site are from about 8000 years ago, while the city’s brightest era was in the 14th century BC as the capital of Hittite Old Kingdom.
