Sky of Ancients

Planet Jupiter joins this stunning view of the Milky Way central part above Aphrodisias, an ancient city named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, and the equivalent of Venus. Today it is located about 30 km from Denizli in the western Turkey. As noted by the photographer “This was the council house of Aphrodisias. I made this mosaic image by stitching two shots through 17mm lens.”
