Description

From the photographer: “The line up of planets Venus, Saturn and Jupiter, and the Moon-Venus conjunction on 2021 Dec 6, was not a particularly rare event but beautiful and I was lucky to have had a decent night to shoot them, as winter has arrived (a month late!) with clouds, snow and cold temps.
This was from a point south of home, overlooking the Bow River here in southern Alberta, near Blackfoot Crossing, the ancestral (and still current) heart of the Siksika First Nation and Treaty 7 lands. Move the slider on the image for lines and labels.”
Technical details: 28-70mm f/2 RF lens on the Canon Ra camera
