From the photographer: “I had pretty good luck that evening, after observing the eclipse at maximum (5:47 pm, CDT) with my family. The clouds made the near-sunset shots special; that and the haze adding a natural, neutral density filter. Had we had clear skies, I would have gotten little or nothing!”
