Description

From the photographer: “After a long time, I finally had the chance to make an unplanned trip to Shiraz. I was excited to visit Persepolis, a 2500-year old World Heritage Site,  and photograph its ancient ruins, but we arrived too late and found the gates already closed. Standing outside, we watched the Moon rise above the ancient city. Although I had missed the chance to explore Persepolis, I captured this quiet and unexpected moment—a simple encounter between the Moon and one of Iran’s most remarkable archaeological sites, photographed with a 135mm Sigma lens.”
