Moon Halo in a Cloudy Night

From the photographer: “This is not the best weather for astronomers, who are struggling to get every photon from distant space objects. But the view outside was quite spectacular and we witnessed an amazing 22-degree halo (an atmospheric phenomenon) around the Moon. On the foreground you can also see the dome of Clay 6.5-m Magellan Telescope on Las Campanas Observatory, Chile.”
