Milky Way Rise in La Palma

From the photographer: “Magnificent view of rising Milky Way in the dark transparent sky of Roque de los Muchachos in La Palma, Canary Islands. The place is a home for several astronomical observatories, including the 10.4 meter GTC or GranTeCan, one of the biggest optical telescopes in the world. The second photo shows the central bulge of the Milky Way, rising over the salt pans in southern part of La Palma.”
