Description

Timelapse video: Innsbruck, a mountainous scenic city in Tyrol, Austria, is a beating heart in Alps. This short film by TWAN Austrian photographer and cinematographer Christoph Malin was a project for the city’s tourism board to present Innsbruck by night: Urban, Mountain, and Sky. The second part of the video includes Takeout’s and Fails, showing what can go wrong during such a production. The soundtrack “Way over Yonder” is produced for the video by TinyType.

As noted by the photographer “The video takes great measure in showing the beautiful starry skies and breathtaking scenery after sunset. While Innsbruck deals with light pollution, like all other urban areas, only short distances away on the mountains the sky is still surprisingly dark. The task is now to preserve this beauty for us and the next generations. The film is based on over 35000 images made in timelapse photo sequences.” More information about the scenes: www.vimeo.com/40969904
