Geminid Meteor Shower ᐉ
Description
Many shooting stars of the annual Geminid Meteor Shower appear as flashing streaks in this timelapse video from Mauritius, an island nation in the southern Indian Ocean. From the photographer: “At 0:35 you can even see a plane taking off from Plaisance airport. Throughout the film about 50 meteors are captured, specially in the second part. View it in HD to better see them. If you look good, at least 5 fireballs leave behind fumaroles associated with their entry into the atmosphere (1:01 is remarkable).”
