The summer arrives in Mount Lassen National Park in California but a lot snow still remains in this high altitude forest. The summer Milky Way (as seen in the northern hemisphere) shines above the park. The brightest region in the entire band of the Milky Way is near the horizon in this view. The Milky Way central bulge is toward the constellation Sagittarius.
