Comet, Milky Way, and Zodiacal Light

The Great Comet 1997, Hale-Bopp, was the most widely observed comet of the twentieth century and one of the brightest seen for many decades, is photographed in the starry sky of Kansas, USA. In this evening view, the winter Milky Way is stretched across the sky while the zodiacal light is strongly visible in the western horizon.
