Description

The path of the total solar eclipse of February 26, 1998 crossed South America through Colombia and Venezuela. In this all-sky view of the totality in Colombia the dazzling Venus is seen above the western Horizon (top) and two planets are appeared at about their solar conjunction time, very close to the sun. The upper point is Jupiter and the lower is Mercury, respectively 2 and 4 degrees away from the eclipsed sun.
