Description

After an afternoon thunderstorm, the receding clouds leave behind a crystal clear sky for the Moon, Venus and Jupiter for an evening show. The lights of both planets and the Moon are reflected from calm waters of Lake Uluabat, about 40 km west of Bursa, Turkey. Click the second photo to see a closer view of the celestial conjunction where a careful look between the Moon and Venus also finds the bright open cluster M44, known as Praesepe or the Beehive.
