An Interesting Comparison

The zodiacal light extends toward the band of winter Milky Way in this fisheye view. As described by the photographer “I have been interested in the zodiacal light since 1971, and after seeing the famous lithograph of it by Trouvelot made on February 20, 1876, I wanted to make a visual comparison between it and his artwork, and a photographic record of the comparison on the plains of eastern Kansas”.
