Description

From the photographer: “The night sky is shining in orangish color due to oxygen airglow emission (~6300 A) in the upper atmosphere. That night the airglow emission was pretty strong (see orange color cast all over the image). Milky Way is on the rise, while you can also see faint Zodiacal stripe along the ecliptic. Venus, Jupiter, and Regulus are nicely aligned indeed. After all you can also see the domes of 6.5-m Magellan telescopes in the foreground, located in Las Campanas Observatory, Chile.”
