A Very Thin Crescent Moom

From the photographer: “I am really amazed at the many incredible photos of the solar eclipse being shared since Monday. I could not travel to see and photograph it. Anyway yesterday night I took the attached picture of a very thin ~1.5% crescent moon setting behind some trees. I could not see the moon until when it was already very close to the trees… I had less than a minute to compose and take the attached single shot. The earthshine is also pretty well visible. The picture was taken from the French village of Manosque.”
