Description

From the photographer: A short timelapse video that serves as both a tribute to the beauty of the dark sky and a contribution to the Dark sky movement – StellaNova. The word literally translates to New Star but in the context of dark skies it represents rediscovering the stars that are often hidden by light-pollution. It’s like seeing the night sky with fresh eyes and appreciating its wonders for the first time. Contemplating the infinite expanse of space prompts us to ponder the mysteries beyond. I hope that viewers will get to take some time to gaze at the stars and immerse in the beauty of night sky. Footages were shot during my travel between 2022 and 2023.

Includes multiple locations but most notable ones are:
Zabriskie Point – Death Valley National Park, California
Blue Ridge Parkway – North Carolina
Brasstown Bald – Georgia
FaceRock – Bandon, Oregon
Sunset Crater – Flagstaff, Arizona

Technical details:
Nikon D810, Nikkor 14-24mm
Post Processing: Raw files processed in Lightroom. Video transition and animation done in After Effects. Color correction, contrast and final adjustments done in Premiere Pro.”
