Description

As the evening twilight ends over snow-covered Alborz Mountains, bright winter stars appear in the starry sky. In the middle Castor and Pollux, the heads of the twins (Gemini) are rising above the mountains. Higher in the sky the brighter Capella and constellation Auriga are visible. To its right you find Taurus and the prominent figure of Orion, the Hunter, and just above the horizon is Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. This mountainous location is not far from the metropolitan Tehran and reflection of the city light by the clouds has illuminated the landscape. © Oshin Zakarian

I love the sheer naked grandeur of this shot.
