Description

The Watcher of Milky Way. A photo that took two years to come true. In the Quebrada de Cafayate Salta Argentina area, there are numerous stone monuments that were eroded by the passage of the river and the strong Zonda wind; a characteristic of these places. When I first visited to the place I couldn’t find what to photograph. The last day I decided to walk a lot more and I found this obelisk-shaped rock. I returned on a second trip but the Milky Way did not give me the position to obtain it so finally on the 3rd visit I made this panorama. I used 20 vertical photos in total between heaven and earth and joined them as a panoramic view. You can also see the Magellanic Clouds on the left. The area is a dry desert almost all year round except in summer when the river falls strongly from the mountain and becomes impassable. I used only a fixed tripod, camera and a wide angle lens at 15mm iso 6400 20 sec exposure and f 2.8.
