The Ornament in the Forest

From the photographer: “The title for this image is appropriate for such a beautiful architectural monument of the Holy Cross Church near Doliana south of the prefecture of Trikala in a dense forest of tall firs. It is a rare church architecture with 13 domes, built in 1770, on a ridge with an altitude of 1200-meters. It suffered damage from the Germans in 1943 – during the second war. Literally hidden in a dense forest, this ornament is seen here under the starry sky with the constellations Corona Borealis, Bootes, and Hercules to participate in this peaceful night.”
